NFL Mock Draft 2015: Titans and Jameis Winston

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Draft order is now officially set.  With that, Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft has put out a brand-new 2 round mock draft.  He has gone back to the Tennessee Titans taking Jameis Winston with the second pick overall.  Here are Dan's thoughts on that pick:

Should Mariota go first overall, Winston should be the pick for the Titans. From purely an on-field standpoint, he’s superior in every way to Zach Mettenberger except maybe pure arm strength. Winston is a better for Tennessee's offense than Mariota and has the skill to complete passes all over the field.

I am really interested to see what happens with Winston's stock at the combine. He is going to perform well, if he throws, but how will he do in the interviews? That is going to be what ultimately determines his stock in this draft because the physical tools are there.

With all of that being said, I still don't want the Titans to take him with the 2nd pick.

Jameis Winston NFL Draft Scouting Report

Dan had the Titans taking Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon with the 33rd pick in the draft. Armstead is one of those guys that people are going to fall in love with because he is an athletic freak. Both Todd McShay and Mel Kiper have him in the top-20 on their big boards, but production from college doesn't back that up. He only had 2.5 sacks in 2014.

You can stomach that pick a little bit more at 33, but that is still a risky pick for a team that needs players to come in and contribute right away.
