Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Week 14

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

The fantasy football playoffs are starting for most leagues this weekend. In general, if your team has made the playoffs you should be sticking with the guys that got you there. The playoffs are not a time to get cute. However, there are some guys that you can add that have the potential to win you a week if you catch them in the right match-up.

Here is a list of guys that should be on your radar to pick up this league.  You should also be looking to add the handcuffs to your studs.  For instance, I own LeVeon Bell in a league and had the chance to pick up DeAngelo Williams the Sunday morning that Bell ended up getting hurt.  I didn't do it and have regretted it ever sense.  If you own a stud player, running back especially, make sure you have insurance for an injury.

The criteria for people to make this list is that they have to be owned in less than 50% of ESPN leagues.

James White, RB, New England Patriots

How is this guy only owned in 26.5% of ESPN fantasy leagues? White has taken over the Dion Lewis role in the Patriots offense. That position is always going to have fantasy value- especially if you are playing in a PPR league. If your league uses standard scoring, White could be a guy that makes a difference for your team in the playoffs.

DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

Parker is one talented dude. Go watch the replay of the touchdown he caught on Sunday. It blows my mind that it has took an injury to Rishard Matthews for Miami to start using him. Parker can help you this year, but he is really valuable if you are in any type of dynasty/keeper league.

Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Tennessee Titans

DGB finally had the breakout game we have all been waiting for on Sunday when he caught 5 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown. He also had a ball go right through his hands that resulted in an interception. That is what you are getting with Green-Beckham this season, but like Parker, he has a lot of value in a dynasty/keeper league.

Brian Hartline, WR, Cleveland Browns

If your first reactions was "gross" I understand, but go look at his stat line from the last 3 weeks. He has at least 6 catches and 74 yards in each of the last 3 games. He's a good add if you are in a deep PPR league.

Darren Sproles, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Sproles touched the ball 19 times on Sunday against the Patriots. He ended up with 100 total yards and also returned a punt for a touchdown. His usage is going to vary from week to week, but he is a smart add if you own DeMarco Murray.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Tampa Bay

ASJ has been forgotten by a lot of people because he was out for 10 weeks. He returned to action in week 13 and was second on the team in targets. Jameis Winston likes the 6'5" TE and the Buccaneers play the New Orleans Saints in week 14. That is always a match-up to take advantage of.
