The Tennessee Titans have announced today that Marcus Mariota will miss the team's season finale against the Indianapolis Colts. That brings his rookie season to and end. Mariota ends the year with 2,818 yards passing with 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 12 games. He also rushed for 252 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Mariota proved in his 12 starts that he has what it takes to be a franchise quarterback. He threw the ball very well from the pocket and showed a great understanding of how to play QB in the NFL. The sky is the limit for this kid.
The Colts have also announced that Andrew Luck will not play in this game. That leaves Stephen Morris to start for the Colts. Who isn't pumped for a week 17 game with Zach Mettenberger and Stephen Morris as the starting quarterbacks?
The crazy thing is the Colts could still win the AFC South with a win over the Titans and a Texans loss to the Jaguars.
