This is THE Titans building block. In today's NFL, in case you didn't know, it all starts with the quarterback. The Titans have found the quarterback. Now they just need to build around him. Mariota is going to be the foundation of this franchise for years to come.
Mariota's rookie season is probably over. There is a chance he could play in week 17 against the Colts, but the knee injury he has sounds similar to the one he had earlier in the year that kept him out for two weeks. He should play if he is 100%, but he probably won't be.
So, if his rookie season is indeed over, he finishes the year with 2,818 yards with 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He completed 62% of his passes and also ran for 252 yards- with 87 of those yards coming on the touchdown run that beat the Jaguars. He barely scratched the surface with his rushing ability in his rookie year.
It is going to be fun to watch him mature as a quarterback in this league.
