The Titans have fallen to 3-11, thanks to a 33-16 loss to the New England Patriots.
The day got off to a rough start, as expected. The offense was stagnant, giving up three sacks early. Marcus Mariota was lost for the day in the process, tweaking his knee. He was likely held out for precautionary reasons, as the Patriots were teeing off on the Titans' line early.
Tennessee was down 24-3 at halfitme, but managed to to hang around. Two Mettenberger touchdown passes to Delanie Walker actually gave the Titans a bit of life. New England appeared a bit disinterested late in the fourth, but they were able to put together a long drive ending in a field goal with 3:30 left. Mettenberger was then picked off for the second time, sealing the Titans' fate.
Two bright spots for Tennessee were Dorial Green-Beckham and Daimion Stafford. Stafford was all over the field today, making play after play. He filled in nicely for an injured Da'Norris Searcy.
Green-Beckham was Mettenberger's favorite target, hauling in six passes for 113 yards. This was probably his best game of his career as he was able to make numerous contested catches.
With this loss, the Titans have taken another step towards the number one pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Just two games remain on the 2015 slate, with Houston and Indianapolis left. .
