Delanie Walker named Titans Walter Payton Man of the Year

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Titans TE Delanie Walker has been named the team's Walter Payton Man of the Year for the second time in 3 years.  Each year every NFL teams nominates one player who has done out standing work in the community.  Walker does a lot of work for MADD.  He had an aunt and uncle killed by a drunk driver in 2013.  You can read more about all of the good work that Walker is doing here.

Here is what Walker had to say about being nominated:

"I am humbled to be named the Tennessee Titans Man of the Year for a second time," said Walker. "Since arriving in Tennessee, I've done my best to represent the team to the best of my abilities both on and off the field. It shows that when you have an opportunity to make a difference in the community, you take advantage of it. I grew up in a community where we needed some of that encouragement and leadership. It means a lot to me to be able to do that in the community that I play for and to try to give these kids a bright future."

Ruston Webster has made a lot of bad moves, but he found an absolute gem in Walker. It is awesome to see all of the work that Walker does in the community.
