NFL Mock Draft 2016: The Titans and Laremy Tunsil

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

Dane Brugler of CBS Sports has put out an updated mock draft this morning.  He has the Titans taking Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss with the first pick.  This is going to be a popular pairing between now and April's draft, and I hate it- not because it isn't a sexy pick, but because the Titans spent the 11th pick on a guy in Taylor Lewan that was supposed to be the franchise left tackle just 2 years ago.

Brugler mentions that this would move Lewan over to right tackle.  Can Lewan even play RT?  I know it is assumed that it would be an easy transition, but what if it isn't?  Then you have wasted at least one first round pick.  Then what if Tunsil doesn't pan out?

The biggest hope for the first pick is that someone is willing to trade up for a quarterback.  That would give the Titans the ammo they need to rebuild the roster.

Here is what Brugler had to say about the pick:

Priority number one for the Titans should be to protect Marcus Mariota, something they have struggled to do consistently in 2015. Tunsil is arguably the most talented player in this year's draft class and able to contribute from day one, pushing Taylor Lewan over to right tackle.
