Offensive line shift announced for Tennessee Titans

A final lineup is announced for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans have officially made their change on the offensive line.

Looney is coming on in a big way for the Titans and after showing the he can out play the rookie Jeremiah Poutasi he was inserted as a starter today. Now, this doesn't meant the end of the offensive line experiment. If Looney plays poorly or if Andy Gallik, Joe Looney or Byron Bell get hurt Poutasi should be the next man up in the rotation.

As much as this looks like a negative report for Poutasi, I think it is a positive report for Andy Gallik. Gallik played well in his only start of the year and I honestly think he is the best center on this team right now. Like I said a few weeks ago, the Titans need to see what they have in him because if the 2016 NFL Draft was tomorrow, center would probably be a top-5 need for the team.

If Gallik can go out there and do well at the center spot and the other two offensive linemen can just be adequate I think you will finally be able to see what Marcus Mariota can really do. If not, then that means more shuffling and the longer the Titans stay without a true starting offensive line, the worse and worse it will be for Marcus Mariota.
