Adam Caplan of ESPN is reporting that the knee injury Kendall Wright suffered on Sunday against the Texans is a sprained MCL. That makes Wright the third Titan (Chance Warmack and Marcus Mariota) to suffer a sprained MCL this season. That has to be some kind of record.
Warmack missed two games with his injury. He was out 3 weeks total because the bye week was after the 2nd game. Mariota has missed two games with his injury. Hopefully he can return this week.
Now not all MCL sprains are created equal. We haven't been officially been given a grade on any of these injuries, so it impossible to know how Wright's compares to the other two.
The Titans are incredibly thin at wide receiver with Wright out. Rico Richardson has been up the last couple of weeks, and you would expect him to stay until Wright is ready to return. The Titans also have 7th round pick Tre McBride, who many people were in love with after the draft, on the practice squad. They might have to bring him up if Harry Douglas isn't ready to come back from his rib injury.
