NFL Trade Rumors: Patriots interested in Titans CB Jason McCourty

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the New England Patriots are interested in Tennessee Titans CB Jason McCourty:

Of course the key there is that a deal is not expected.

McCourty is signed through the 2017 season on a deal that is pretty friendly to the team.  He was very good last year despite there not being any talent around him in the secondary or any pass rush....at all.  McCourty has been hurt for most of this year, but there is no doubt that he is the best defensive back on this team.

I doubt anything happens here, but the Titans shouldn't let him go for anything less than a first round pick.  There is no shot the Patriots offer that.
