One change the Tennessee Titans should make: offense

What can help this Titans offense?

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Tennessee Titans offense looked better today, but they just can't get a consistent effort going. With miscommunications with the wide receivers, and a lack of any sort of playmaker on this team other than Marcus Mariota, this is the change I would make.

Play Tre McBride more

The Tennessee Titans lack explosion and every time Kendall Wright wants to make a big play he has to make a 5-yard cut back to try to get any sort of room to make a move. They are trying to scheme up speed sweeps to get the ball in Kendall Wright's hands to pray that he can make something happen.

However, they have someone who has 4.41 speed and the ability to make people miss: Tre McBride. I understand that he, like DGB, might be having problems learning the complete playbook. However that shouldn't stop you from giving him a limited playbook and letting him make something happen on offense.

Tre McBride is bigger and faster than Kendall Wright, and at this point in the season what do you have to lose? Right now, the receivers can't get any separation and I wouldn't say that any of the wide receivers are in the top-3 pass catchers on this team. With Delanie Walker, Anthony Fasano and Craig Stevens all better when given the chance, I think that you could make the case that with just a decent 4-game stretch he could be the best wide receiver on this team.

At the end of the day if we are being honest, Wright is probably a good slot receiver at best, and not more. You need someone outside who can make plays, because there isn't a successful team in the league whose receivers are built from the inside out. Maybe McBride can show you that he is a future #2, or at least a capable #4, but either way he has to play more.
