Titans vs. Jaguars: The last play was a disaster

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Titans had one play from the 23 yard line last night with a shot to win the game.  What happened next was one of the biggest disasters I have ever seen.  What makes it even worse is that the Jaguars gave the Titans a gift and called a timeout before the snap.

What did the Titans and Mike Mularkey/Jason Michael do with that extra time?  They drew up a play that was designed to go to Rico Richardson.  Look, Dorial Green-Beckham obviously has no idea what to do in a football game, but the one thing he can do is run straight to the end zone and jump.  That is the only thing that should have been called there.

Of course the play design doesn't even matter because this is what the line of scrimmage looked like right after the ball was snapped:

The Jaguars sent 4.  There were no stunts- just 4 guys rushing up the field.  Both Chance Warmack and Byron Bell just flat out get beat in what should be the easiest blocking assignment they will ever draw.

Here was what it looked like down the field (via Kuharksy):

I am not really sure what any of those guys are doing, but the only option there is still throwing a jump ball to DGB.
