Tennessee Titans one change to make: defense

What the Titans can do to change the defense.

So that was terrible (I feel like I start stories like that every week now). I know everyone's response to today is to fire Whisenhunt, and that is not only fair but it is the clear-cut right move at this point. However, I don't think this team will do that so we have to look at small changes the Titans might make.

Make a splash play

Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing abut the defense right now. This team is going on all cylinders on one side of the ball and for all the talk about playing like a team, one side is clearly lifting more weight than the other. The worst thing that can happen to a team is for their to be a divide in the locker room, but I don't know how Whisenhunt can go in the locker room and not hang his head after the defense has kept them in games every week for three of the last four games.

If there was one thing I would change about the defense is that they need someone to make a big play. Sacks are great and tipped passes are great, both stall drives and force punts. However, if someone could strip the quarterback or get an interception then this defense goes from being great to elite.

All in all, there is no way you can put any loses this season on the defense except maybe the loss to the Indianapolis Colts Week 3. however, other than that this defense has been a lock-down unit and they are the only reason that the national media isn't ripping the team every week.

This team is set up to be great in 2016 especially if there is one more dynamic piece added, but if the offense will just play half way as well as the defense then this team should explode next year, but I don't think they can do that with this coach.
