Before the season started Bovada put out odds on who the first head coach fired would be. Ken Whisenhunt was the 3rd most likely head coach to get fired first. The first two were Mike Pettine and Jay Gruden. Number four on the list was Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin. He is the winner according to multiple media sources. You can head over to The Phinsider to follow all of the latest updates.
The Joe Philbin era in Miami was quite interesting. In the end it was an anemic offense that did Philbin in. They have invested a lot on that side of the ball and are currently only averaging 16.3 points per game. That is 30th in the NFL.
The Miami Dolphins come to Nashville to take on the Titans in 2 weeks. That means Tennessee will only have one week of tape with new Dolphins head coach Dan Campbell. That shouldn't be that big of a deal though because it is unlikely too many schematic changes will be made. Check that, the Dolphins have a bye this week.
