Week 5 College Football Prospect Preview: SEC/Big 12

In what is an absolute packed slate of meaningful football today, I've singled out four games in the SEC and Big 12. Keep your eyes on the following guys as you watch the games today.

West Virginia at Oklahoma (FS1, 11:00)

Prospects: Karl Joseph (SS, WVU), Zack Sanchez (CB, OK), Eric Striker (EDGE, OK)

This game will give you a good look at two potential Titans' draftees.  Karl Joseph is cut from the same cloth as Colts' great Bob Sanders (H/T to Steven Morton for the comparison). He's a head-hunter, but scouts are concerned about his longevity.  Zack Sanchez is an instinctive, lanky corner prospect that has a knack for the big play. He's a true ball hawk.

Alabama at Georgia (CBS, 2:30)

Prospects: A'Shawn Robinson (DL, Bama), Jonathan Allen (EDGE, Bama), Reggie Ragland (LB, Bama), Leonard Floyd (EDGE, UGA), Jordan Jenkins (EDGE, UGA)

This is my favorite game this week.  It's filled with front seven prospects across the board.  A'Shawn Robinson will get his stiffest test of the year, taking on Nick Chubb and the Georgia rushing attack head on.  I'll be interested to see if he can shut down the middle of the trenches.

Leonard Floyd and Jordan Jenkins will get big tests as well tonight.  Not only will they be tasked with setting the edge against a potent rushing attack, but they'll have to get around Cam Robinson -- a top 2017 prospect.

Texas Tech at Baylor (ABC, 2:30)

Prospects: Le'Raven Clark (OT, TTU), Corey Coleman (WR, Baylor), Shawn Oakman (DL, Baylor), Spencer Drango (OT, Baylor), Andrew Billings (DL, Baylor)

This game is going to feature two red hot offenses.  They may very well put up 50 points a piece, but I'm more interested in the trench play.  Oakman and Billings are in the top 40 discussion and should have plenty of chances to show off their pass rushing ability today. We'll see how Le'Raven Clark holds up against them.

Ole Miss at Florida (ESPN, 6:00)

Prospects: Vernon Hargreaves III (CB, UF), Laquan Treadwell (WR, Ole Miss), Tony Connor (S, Ole Miss)

This game is going to give us possibly the best one on one match-up of the entire year. VH3 should be following Treadwell wherever he goes tonight.  Hargreaves gives up a lot of size to Treadwell, but should make up for that with his quickness and instincts.  DVR this one if you can't watch live.
