Injuries again hamper the Tennessee Titans

Tennessee Titans vs Atlanta Falcons inactives list.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

A very tough day for the Tennessee Titans just got tougher. Here are the inactives today:

Tennessee Titans:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="">#Titans</a> inactives: QB Mariota, CB Cox, S Griffin, RB West, G Spain, WR Douglas, NT Hill <a href="">#ATLvsTEN</a> <a href=""></a></p>&mdash; Tennessee Titans (@Titans) <a href="">October 25, 2015</a></blockquote>

So, if I count that right that is 4-5 starters depending on how you look at Sammie Hill. That is just an unfortunate slew of injuries that his some of the weakest position groups on this team.

If you are wondering how that will end up translating to the field, here is John Glennon's projection on the new starters.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hunter starts for Douglas, Mett for Mariota, Woods for Hill, Sensabaugh for Cox, Stafford for Griffin. <a href="">#Titans</a></p>&mdash; John Glennon (@glennonsports) <a href="">October 25, 2015</a></blockquote>

Quick thoughts:

-Justin Hunter was already playing nearly as many snaps per game as Douglas, so DGB will be the prime beneficiary.

-Sensabaugh for Cox is actually an upgrade according to PFF, but I don't think he will actually be the one to replace him. I think that he will stay inside and Blidi Wreh-Wilson will stay outside.

-Woods/Stafford both have experience playing full time in spots, so this shouldn't be as big of an issue.

Atlanta Falcons

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Today’s Falcons Inactives: WR Hardy, CB Southward, LB Wheeler, LB Bradford, C Gradkowski, T Harris, DE Goodman <a href="">#ATLvsTEN</a></p>&mdash; Atlanta Falcons (@AtlantaFalcons) <a href="">October 25, 2015</a></blockquote>

So, help from this side. I never wish ill on anyone else, but this is a stark contrast to how banged up the Tennessee Titans are.
