Daivd Cobb was eligible to return to practice yesterday, and that is exactly what he did. The Titans now have a 3 week window to activate Cobb or move him to season ending IR. If there is one thing the Titans need, it is another running back to mix into the rotation.
A lot of people thought Cobb would emerge from training camp as the starting running back. There is a good chance that would have happened had he not injured his calf. The good news for Cobb is that no running back has established himself as the lead back during Cobb's absence. Now it is hard to say how much of that is because of the running backs and how much is because Ken Whisenhunt refuses to commit to a back, but the fact remains that no back has established himself as the go to guy.
The Titans will have to make a roster move whenever they do decide to activate Cobb. They also might be looking to make a roster move at receiver depending on how Harry Douglas recovers from his rib injury as the week progresses.
