Rarely does an offensive lineman standout as one of the best performers of a playoff game, but today Bryan Bulaga really looked the part of a top-three right tackle in the NFL.
Against a team filled with pass rushers, it was Bulaga and the Green Bay Packers offensive line that proved to be the winners in the trenches. As a pass protector he stood tall against some of the best and even drew and hands to the face penalty early in the game that kept the Packers moving.
As a run blocker, he sealed off backside and second level blocks to allow Eddie Lacy and James Starks to cut back and make huge gashing runs against the Seattle defense. The running backs ended up combining for over 125 tough yards. While that may not seem like much, it is important to remember that that number would have been much higher if the Packers didn't get the ball in plus territory so many times.
Bulaga would be a great addition to the Tennessee Titans from top to bottom. He fits the mentality that you want from your right tackle, and he has proven that he can do almost anything you ask of him. Two lunch-pail guys like Taylor Lewan and Bryan Bulaga are the ideal tandem of tackles you would build your offensive line around.
