Like offense, this is a but of a logjam in the middle, so I took my top three potential defensive free agents for the Titans.
Tamba Hali EDGE, Kansas City: $9 million cap relief
Hali is one of the more underrated pass rushers in the league. Hali has nearly 80 sacks in his career, including 52.5 in the last five years. The Titans need a speed rusher that can disrupt the passing game, even if they bring Derrick Morgan back in 2015.
Prince Amukamara CB, New York Giants: $6.9 million cap relief
Amukamara has really developed into a nice corner, but I'm not sure that the Giants are willing to pay him $7 million in 2015 when he is scheduled to hit free agency next year anyway. The Titans need CB help in the worst way, and Amukama is one of the best cornerbacks out there that won't break the bank.
Vince Wilfork NT, New England: $7.6 million cap relief
I said this last year and I still think it is right, but the Titans need a huge body in the middle of the defense and Wilfork fits what they need perfectly. Wilfork could rotate heavily with Sammie Lee Hill, and could come in and play where he fits best: nose tackle.
