The Tennessee Titans have started the season 1-0. It was really good to see a competent game plan for the first time in a while. This team is going to be fun to watch.
Jake Locker was really good today. He has good command of the offense. Locker threw the ball to the right places, didn't turn it over, and was smart in his running decisions.
The defense, which was not very good in the preseason, was awesome today. They kept Jamaal Charles contained for the whole day. Jason McCourty was the star of the day with 2 interceptions on deep throws intended for Donnie Avery.
I said it on Twitter over and over again, but I do really want to thank the Chiefs organization for deciding to release Ryan Succop. He was money today going 4 for 4 on his field goal attempts. He also consistently kicked the ball in the end zone on his kickoffs. That is exactly what the Titans were looking for. Hopefully he will keep that up all season.
This is just one win, and it came against a Chiefs team that was short-handed because of injuries and suspensions, but it is always really good to start the season 1-0. The Titans make their home debut next week against the Dallas Cowboys.
