Seahawks vs. Packers 2014: Game time, TV schedule, radio info, and more

The NFL is back!

Tom Pennington

We made it!  The long offseason has finally come to a close.  There is real-life football on tonight, and it should be a fantastic game.  Remember to set your fantasy line-ups today, because there are a lot of impact players in this one.

Here are a few things that I will be watching in the game tonight:

-Can the Packers get Eddie Lacy going?

The Seahawks are really, really good on defense (just ask Peyton Manning).  You cannot beat them if you are one-dimensional.  Green Bay finally has a stud running back to pair with Aaron Rodgers.  Can their offensive line give Lacy room to run tonight?

-Can the Packers withstand the early onslaught from the Seahawks?

Seattle is the toughest place to play in the NFL.  Their crowd will be even more jacked up than normal tonight with this being the first game of the NFL season and their team coming off a Super Bowl win.  That will make things really tough on the Packers early.  Can they withstand those first few minutes without making a game-changing mistake?

-Will Seattle suffer from a post-Super Bowl hangover?

Recently, Super Bowl winners have not struggled the following season.  It has been a while since a Super Bowl winner has even won a playoff game the following year.  Can the Seahawks overcome that?

-How tightly will the referees call the game?

There were a ridiculous amount of illegal contact penalties called in the preseason.  That was pretty much directly related to the fact that Seattle's corners were allowed to mug receivers whenever/wherever they wanted too last year.  Will the emphasis from the preseason carry over to tonight's season opener?

What will you be watching for?
