Wow. Former Titans kicker Rob Bironas was killed in a car wreck last night in Nashville. He was 36 years old. Bironas had just married Terry Bradshaw's daughter back in June.
Sometimes you see something that just almost takes the breath out of you. This was one of those times. Bironas was a fantastic kicker for the Titans for a very long time. He won numerous games for Jeff Fisher, and was most definitely a fan favorite. This preseason multiple people would post a comment on here or on Twitter about how the Titans needed to bring him back.
I have two favorite Bironas moments:
The first one is "GUNFINGAZ." That one came from a 53-yard kick he hit to beat the Texans in a Monday Night Football game in 2009. His celebration prompted one of the best MCM Memes of all time.
The second one was the 60-yard field goal he hit to beat the Colts in 2006. That game was at the tail end of Vince Young's rookie year. The Titans had started that season slow, but nearly made a playoff run in large part because of Rob Bironas.
Leave you favorite Bironas moments below. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
