The Tennessee Titans have finally come to a conclusion for their Kicker competition. Maikon Bonani and Travis Coons battled it out throughout camp and the pre-season, but both failed to cement a confident place on the final 53. Subsequently, the Titans interviewed more than a handful of veteran kickers, and have landed on former Kansas City Chiefs leg, Ryan Succop, the former Mr. Irrelevant.
The Titans coaching staff got a guy they can be confident in, that's all that matters. For what it's worth, Travis Coons did a solid job in my book throughout the preseason process. He was cut today to make room for Succop.
The other obvious storyline is that Succop will now face his former team less than two weeks after they cut him, as a member of the Titans. What are your thoughts on the signing?
