It was just a matter of time before this happened, but the Titans have officially released Tyler Wilson. He was a holdover from the old regime, and he was done here as soon as the Titans drafted Zach Mettenberger. Wilson and Mettenberger had been splitting the 3rd team reps in camp.
This will give Mettenberger more reps in practice, which is a good thing, and will give him the whole 2nd half in probably three of the four practice games.
I am not sure what has gone wrong with Wilson. I was really high on him coming out of Arkansas. He was accurate, mobile and could take a punch in the mouth. Don't be surprised to see him back here on the practice squad when the season starts.
