The Tennessee Titans knew they had too many defensive linemen going into the final day of cuts, and it seems like they have found a way to make the most of that logjam.
Cowboys have made a trade with Tenn for DE Lavar Edwards. Gave up conditional 7th rounder
— Todd Archer (@toddarcher) August 30, 2014
Now, since no one knows yet what conditional means for the Titans, I would expect it is based on if Edwards is on the roster for the game Week 1. However, if it means that the Titans could get more than the seventh based on play time, this could be a really smart trade for the Titans.
Either way, it didn't look like Edwards was poised to make much of an impact on the roster at this point. Edwards is more of a fit as a 4-3, run stuffing defensive end based on what he has shown on film the past few years so this deal makes sense for both teams.
