It's deadline day for 2014 NFL roster cuts. The Tennessee Titans roster will be trimmed down from it's current number of 75 players all the way down to 53 players by this afternoon at 3 p.m. (central). Every other NFL team will be doing the same thing at the same time so there will be a lot of action this weekend.
The Titans started making moves yesterday. You can see the full list of players released here. I only lost one player off of my last 53 man roster prediction yesterday- Tommie Campbell. Look for the Titans to be scouring the waiver wire for depth at corner after that move.
The most notable names cut yesterday were Marc Mariani, Antonio Andrews and Chase Coffman. Jeff Fisher might bring in Mariani, but the Rams are pretty good with kick returners. I am not sure if there is a place there for him. It will be interesting to see if anyone else calls.
Andrews is a local kid that ran well against 3rd and 4th team guys. He will most likely make it on the practice squad. They would love to sneak Coffman on the to the practice squad, but he could be picked up by someone else.
