With Monday bringing a scrimmage against the Atlanta Falcons, the Titans had a lighter day of practice on Sunday which is reflected lower in the notes. Here are the highlights from Sunday's practice.
-The Titans only suited up in shoulder pads and shorts after a few days of physical practice.
-Andy Levitre was cleared medically and was allowed to practice with the team today for the first time this training camp. It should be noted that his recovery time was supposed to be "no more than two weeks", so this is really positive news for the Titans.
-While Levitre's return sounded like less reps for Taylor Lewan, that wasn't the case. Lewan actually slid in to the left tackle position and practiced with the first team offensive line.
-In other offensive line news, Chris Spencer was back after missing last night's practice.
-Bernard Pollard (rest) didn't practice today, neither did Shonn Greene (rest), Nate Washington (rest), Mike Martin (leg), or Antonio Johnson (leg). TE Dorin Dickerson was injured late in practice, but walked off under his own power.
-The starting corners continued to rotate as they have done every day since training camp. Today was Blidi Wreh-Wilson's day to start on the outside.
-Speaking of corners, Jason McCourty continues to impress. Hunter reached in and stopped what would have been a nice reception between Justin Hunter and Jake Locker. Those kinds of plays highlight how good McCourty is, and why this year's matchup between A.J. Green and the Titans secondary should look a lot different than their last regular season game where Green bullied Cortland Finnegan.
-Whisenhunt said after practice that he was not ready to rule anyone out for the scrimmage on Monday.
