The big news in the past day is that Jurrell Casey got a contract extension that will run until 2018. It includes 20 million guaranteed, and is worth about 9 million per year. Which is a great value for him, but for us as well. Casey is a terrific player and the best player on our defense for sure. I'm extremely happy that both sides were able to hammer out a deal without any drama and without the player reaching free agency. I for one am looking forward to Casey wreaking havoc in two tone blue this coming year.

Paul Kuharsky says that the Titans new regime put a lot of faith in Casey without him taking a regular season snap. Maybe because they know he'll thrive in Horton's system, driving his price up even further.

Included in this article are quotes from Webster on the Casey extension, and quotes from Casey himself. And also a lovely picture of Casey, his agent, and his mother.

PK looks at the toughest stretch for the Titans, that will make or break them. He says it is after the bye week, when we play the Ravens, Steelers, and then the Eagles. The game of those three I'm worried most about is the Eagles, as they look really good on both sides of the ball. Thankfully our defense should be sorted by then.
