Tim Shaw, who was a member of the Tennessee Titans as recently as 2012, has announced that he has ALS. He did so tonight in a video where he also took the ALS ice bucket challenge that has been all over Facebook and Twitter for the last week or so.
I had the opportunity to speak with Shaw back in 2012, and he couldn't have been more courteous. He was a monster on special teams for the Titans. His most memorable play was this punt block from the Thursday night game against the Steelers in 2012.
Matt Hasselbeck, who played with Shaw here, had this to Saw about Shaw after he heard the news:
