Colin McCarthy was probably facing an uphill battle to make this roster before his injury. Now it sounds like there is a real chance that he is going to miss the whole season with the shoulder injury that he suffered in Saturday night's preseason game.
McCarthy burst on the scene early in his career by being a middle linebacker who made plays. That is something that the Titans had been lacking for a really long time. It is a shame that so many injuries (and a scheme change) have slowed down his development.
