Recapping Ken Whisenhunt's press conference to open training camp

Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Ken Whisenhunt took the podium today to officially kick off Tennessee Titans training camp.  There was a lot of good news that came out of the session.  Every player passed the conditioning test, so there will be no one sitting out when the Titans take the field for the first time tomorrow.

Whiz also said that everyone came in pretty close to the target weight they were given.  He was asked specifically about Chance Warmack, and Whisenhunt said Warmack came within one pound of the weight they had give him.

The only two players on the roster that will start camp on PUP are Andy Levitre, after having his appendix out yesterday, and Marcus Dixon, who has a calf injury.  That means Shonn Greene will be ready to go from the start of camp.  Whisenhunt did say they would have to take it easy with him, but he will be out there.

Whisenhunt also said that Taylor Lewan will get some work at guard, in addition to his reps at tackle, while Levitre is out.  That is a really tall guard.

So things are looking good for this team as camp opens.  Obviously nothing has been done yet, but there have been years where the Titans opened up camp with a bunch of guys hurt.  That is not the case this year.

GO TITANS!!
