Plenty of noteworthy news from around the league today.
Former Vikings standout DT Kevin Williams joined the Seattle Seahawks today, as if their D-line needed any more talent...
The Atlanta Falcons will be this year's pick for the HBO series, "Hard Knocks". While I really enjoy the show, I'm not sure yet how I feel about the Falcons in particular. They should be poised for a big bounce-back year, but something feels off, maybe it's the rising talent in their own backyard, as I would say all three teams made solid moves to improve over the past offseason.
Titans fans will remember watching Maurkice Pouncey, the Steelers Center, go down in last year's opener. Good thing his body of work was already very good, because he just landed the NFL's richest contract for a Center at $44 million dollars.
Continuing a worrisome trend, another notable linebacker suffered a big injury in camp. This time, it was Jon Beason, the former Carolina MLB and current key cog of the NY Giants defense. He reportedly suffered a foot injury and was carted from the practice field.
Oh, and the World Cup started today, in case you didn't notice...
