Tennessee Titans News Links: Exaggerated Demise

Your daily serving of Titans' linkage!

Yesterday I linked Field Yates report that the Titans were set up for regression. I highly doubt that report, as does Titans ESPN writer Paul Kuharsky. This team could do great things this year, and at worst I could see us being a 7-9, 6-10 team. The talent on this team won't allow us to be much worse than that.

So as many have confirmed (few of you will get this, many will not), the Titans are in contract negotiations with Jurrell Casey, also known as "The War Machine". Paul Kuharsky wonders how much one Casey is worth. If he gets something similar to Geno Atkins, I'd say that is extremely fair for both parties. Just do not let him go. For the love of everything that is good, do not let him go.

The Titans have loads of cap room to work with both in working with their own players (rookies, and players like JC who need to be re-signed) and looking ahead to free agency next year where we can offer a big contract to a blue chip player who we think can get us over the top if that situation arises.
