Last week Todd McShay and Mel Kiper both had the Titans taking a corner. This week neither of them have the Titans taking a corner. It is amazing what can change in a week, ha!
McShay has the Titans going with Blake Bortles. Here is what he said about the pick:
The teams that we've most recently heard associated with Bortles are the Titans and the Cardinals, and we're going to go ahead and slot him to Tennessee here. For all the Johnny Manziel talk recently, it seems as though Bortles is the hot quarterback prospect in this draft right now, based on what we've heard from people in the league. If Bortles isn't the pick here, it's likely the Titans would take a cornerback.
I have to give McShay some credit here, there haven't been a lot of people mocking Bortles to the Titans. He gets points for thinking outside of the box (kinda).
Kiper wasn't as original, but he made the pick for the Titans that I hope they ultimately make, Anthony Barr. Here is what he had to say:
I have Barr a bit lower on my prospect rankings than many others because I think there's a lot of development left for a player who was a fullback just two seasons ago. You can't deny his potential because not only is he a great athlete, he's also shown an ability to get to opposing quarterbacks with regularity. Around the league many consider him the third best pass-rusher available. Well, with Clowney and Mack gone, the Titans need another pass-rusher, and Barr fits the bill.
He has the potential to be an impact guy. The Titans need more of those.
