Well, today is the day. Today is draft day. I am very anxious to see who the Titans select as I'm sure all of you are. I'm sure you are all aware of my mancrush on Teddy Bridgewater and how much I want the Titans to draft him. I didn't see much hope of that happening until last night when Paul Kuharsky tweeted that he knew of two non-published visitors to the Titans that he was not supposed to report, and that there were a few more, that he doesn't know about all-together. This rekindled my hope of the Titans making the correct decision in drafting Teddy if he is on the board at 11. So now I've just set myself up for disappointment, but who knows, tonight should have some big surprises in store. For now, just let me have this one last day where I can dream of Teddy being a Titan.
REMINDER: Today is the day where the Colts' first rounder is Trent Richardson!
Paul K also believes that RB and ILB can be found later in the draft. I agree. I say take Isaiah Crowell and Avery Williamson late.
In the #3for3Draft on the twitters, The Titans select Blake Bortles in round 1, and Tre Mason in round 2, who the drafter compares to Marshawn Lynch, which I found to be an interesting comp.
Anthony Barr had a glorious bust made out of veggies made for him by Subway.
NFL.com has a list of draft day trades they'd love to see including us trading with the Jets, the trade being Chris Johnson for our first round pick.
Mayock says Manziel to the Cowboys. He also has Bortles to the Titans. I am not a fan of this pick, but he does say that Bortles should red-shirt his first year, which I agree with, in order to be a success at the NFL level. The only QB the Titans should touch in this draft is my boy Teddy Bridgewater. Don't let me down Webster, else I WILL CLIMB YOUR FACE!
Cover 2 looks at Lamarcus Joyner, a prospect I really like, and would compare to a poor man's Tyrann Mathieu, and Paul Richardson, a WR from Colorado that I haven't watched at all.
Mike Keith doesn't think the Titans take a QB with the first rounder. We shall see.
Last year's draft was pretty good, and has the potential to be amazing. The saying is that you need three starters from each draft to have successful roster turnover and stay competitive. We potentially got four in Schwenke, Warmack, BWW, and Hunter.
My Top 10 Prediction: Not going to do trades, and not going to pick the Titans, just the 10 beforehand.
1. Houston Texans- Jadaveon Clowney
2. St. Louis Rams- Greg Robinson
3. Jacksonville Jaguars- Johnny Manziel
4. Cleveland Browns- Sammy Watkins
5. Oakland Raiders- Khalil Mack
6. Atlanta Falcons- Anthony Barr (big drop off on pass rushers after Barr)
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Mike Evans
8. Minnesota Vikings- Aaron Donald
9. Buffalo Bills- Jake Matthews
10. Detroit Lions- HaHa Clinton-Dix
