Ken Whisenhunt joined the Wake-Up Zone here in Nashville this morning (full interview) to talk about the rookie mini-camp that took place this past weekend. As you might have guessed, a lot of the questions had to do with Zach Mettenberger. Here are the highlights on what Whiz had to say about Mett:
-Mettenberg handled himself really well. He was able to process the information, command the huddle and get the play run.
-They put in multiple check plays and he handled them well.
-He looks good physically and handled it well mentally.
-He is very comfortable on all of the deep throws. The real test will come when has to make the touch or check-down throws.
They also talked about the lack of depth at receiver. Whisenhunt said that is a position they will definitely be keeping an eye on as cuts take place this summer.
He was also asked about the kicker battle and didn't seem very concerned. It sounds like they will roll with the one of the two they have unless they are both bad and then they will sign a veteran.
