Jadaveon Clowney had his pro-day today, which drew rave reviews from analysts and attendants. Most folks have him as the top 1-2 players in the draft this year, citing his ridiculous physical skill-set. But hear me out here; I sincerely doubt Clowney lives up to the hype. There are legitimate concerns that are being glossed over by those who aren't turning back on opinions made up long ago about Clowney's destiny to become one of the best pass rushers in the NFL.
At this point, he could end up being a very good player for a long time, and that still would not touch to expectations that most now have of him. At this point, anything less than HOF quality would be a disappointment, and I think that's a shame, honestly. Disagree with me all you like, we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out. The Titans will likely be a thousand miles removed from any conversation to draft him, but I have a feeling more will agree with my line of thinking in a few years.
Rant over.
In other news, DJax agreed to terms with the Redskins on a multi-year deal (3 years, 24 million). I'm grateful that we can stop talking about him now.
The rest of tonight's thread I leave up to you.
