The Titans made a huge splash in free agency last year. Before the dust had settled on the first wave of free agency they had signed Andy Levitre, Delanie Walker, Sammie Lee Hill and Shonn Greene. That was a big change from the prior few years where they didn't get involved until at least the second wave.
This year will be somewhere between last year and the years prior. They will sign a big name or two, but they will not be as active as they were early last year.
The main priority for the Titans will be getting a rush linebacker. They are moving to a 3-4, but right now they do not have the personnel on the roster to play that scheme. That is their biggest need currently, and it will probably take free agency and the draft to get them where they need to be.
The Titans are also in need of depth at offensive tackle. There are a lot of mock drafts out there that have them going with a tackle with the 11th pick. That makes sense, but they might be able to find a veteran right tackle on the market that will be cheaper that David Stewart.
If Alterraun Verner does not end up re-signing, they will also be in the market for a corner. They have a couple of young players on the roster in Coty Sensabaugh and Blidi Wreh-Wilson that are promising, but will this new staff be comfortable with running one of those guys out there opposite Jason McCourty?
It can also be assumed that they will be looking for a running back because Chris Johnson will probably not be with the team when the season opens. My guess is that they look to the draft to feel this need.
What other needs do you see the Titans having as the roster stands today?
