This move is surprising to me. I am not here to re-hash the Marc Mariani argument, but I am just not sure why they need him after signing Dexter McCluster and Leon Washington. Mariani was a very good returner for a while, but he isn't going to contribute to this team as a receiver. Why do they need another guy who, like Washington, who isn't going to contribute on offense?
With that being said, since Mariani and Washington are both on one-year deals, odds are that only one of them is going to make the team. That will interesting to watch in camp.
