I didn't want the Titans to pay $10 million a year for Alterraun Verner, but the fact that he got 4 years with $14 million guaranteed- remember that is the only number that matters- and the Titans weren't willing to match that makes me pretty angry. They have undervalued him from the time they drafted him. That trend continued tonight.
ATV made the Pro Bowl last year. That doesn't always mean anything, but it did in this case. He was one of the best corners in the league last year, and they weren't willing to pay less than $4 million a year for him? That is just stupid.
Now they are counting on Blidi Wreh-Wilson, who couldn't find the field last year, Tommie Campbell, who isn't good at football, or Coty Sensabaugh, who hasn't played outside at all in the NFL. Great call, Ruston!
ATV was the first player to ever truly interact with this site. That brought a lot of legitimacy to MCM, and I will be forever grateful to him for that. I hope he goes on to have an All-Pro career in Tampa.
