Titans agree to terms with Dexter McCluster

The Titans have added an excellent return man and versatile player in Dexter McCluster.

Joe Robbins

University of Tennessee fans everywhere should be applauding this move.  While I am not a Tennessee fan, I am applauding this move.  There was a lot of talk about Darren Sproles in the last couple of days, but I like McCluster better.  He is younger and can bring the same match-up problems.

What will his role be?  Look at what Ken Whisenhunt did with Danny Woodhead last year.  McCluster is a whole lot better than Woodhead.

Here is what Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride had to say about McCluster:

Dexter McCluster is coming off a career year in Kansas City. For the second time in his career, he was the full-time punt returner and did an excellent job with it, earning Pro Bowl honors. That's where he offers a lot of value.

Offensively, McCluster underwhelmed as a slot receiver. He didn't break many tackles so he didn't have a lot of big plays like you might think he would.

My guess is he will be used more as a third-down back here than a slot receiver.

Now I wonder why they need Leon Washington....

Jim Wyatt has the terms of McCluster's deal:
