Between the Posts: The Combine

With the NFL combine in full swing and the Winter Olympics firmly in the rear-view mirror, the focus is now back on football where it belongs. With the defensive players taking to the field today, there were some notable performances. While Clowney put up some impressive numbers, notably in the 40 yard dash, I still think he might not be the best pro defensive player from this draft when all is said and done. Time will tell I suppose.

After watching the weekends workouts, I was impressed with a handful of the WRs and RBs. The Titans should take a long hard look at both of these groups. Dri Archer, while woefully undersized, would be an interesting weapon to add due to his blazing speed and very good pass-catching abilities. Karlos Hyde was another back I was excited to watch work out, but a pulled hamstring on the first 40 attempt deep-sixed those aspirations.

What do you fine gentlemen (and ladies) think of the Combine thus far? Any big impressions made?
