Injury Update: Zach Mettenberger Likely Done For 2014 Season

It gets worse...

Initial reports from the Titans - Giants game were unclear regarding Zach Mettenberger's immediate future after he suffered a re-aggravation of his right shoulder injury. Early X-rays cleared Mettenberger of any fracture, but Jim Wyatt is reporting that the shoulder sprain is more significant than the one the rookie QB suffered last week. MRI's have been scheduled tomorrow to further evaluate the condition of Mettenberger's shoulder, but it is likely that he is done for the remainder of the 2014 season.

This team cannot catch a break, huh?

The rookie QB has been solid, if unspectacular in his early career with the team. With the right pieces around him (and some superior coaching) he could be the guy going forward. Only time will tell, but it looks, at least right now, that his continues evaluation will have to wait until the 2015 season.
