Popeye's Bahamas Bowl NOON ESPN

Central Michigan v. Western Kentucky

- #MACtion takes on Conference USA in the inaugural Bahamas Bowl. Draft history: Central Michigan had the number one overall draft pick recently with Eric Fisher. Western Kentucky has managed to get a player on the Titans' practice squad in consecutive years and both have seen NFL duty in the regular season. Did I mention that this game is in the Bahamas?

Matchup to watch:

Titus Davis WR 6'2 190 Senior (CMU) vs. Cam Thomas CB 6'1 190 Senior (WKU)

Location: Thomas A. Robinson Stadium, Nassau

Hawai'i Bowl 8 PM ESPN

Fresno State v. Rice

- This could be a defensive struggle as Fresno State isn't up to it's usual Fresno State fireworks show standards and Rice is solid defensively. Both teams feature a standout secondary player that has garnered some national attention as well. I hear Hawai'i is nice this time of year.

Fresno State prospect to watch:

Derron Smith 5'10 200 S Senior

- Smith is a big hitter with a decent amount of range. In the past two years, he has 9 interceptions (15 career) and a boatload of tackles. He's an intelligent safety that can diagnose plays very quickly and execute the defensive counter properly. Could be the third best safety in the country. Accepted Senior Bowl invite.

Rice prospect to watch:

Bryan Callahan 5'10 180 CB Senior

- Phillip Gaines who? Callahan isn't near the athlete that Gaines was but has more toughness and will fight receivers for the ball. Fundamentally sound tackler. He could make a jump once the offseason draft process starts.
