Jim Wyatt is reporting today that Dexter McCluster is out for tomorrow's game against the Jaguars, and likely the rest of the year:

And thus ends a very confusing season for McCluster.  He was the first free agent the Titans signed in the Ken Whisenhunt era.  We were all hoping for Danny Woodhead circa 2013 numbers for McCluster this year, but it turned out that Whiz and staff didn't really have any idea how to use McCluster.  He was used almost exclusively as a running back, which makes very little sense.

McCluster ends the season with 40 carries for 131 yards and 26 receptions for 197 yards and 1 touchdown.  He also returned 22 punts for 155 yards.  All that for the bargain price of $9 million over three years.

Hopefully they make more of an effort to use him to create some mismatches next year, but they probably won't because Whisenhunt refuses to make any changes on anything ever.
