Jake Locker went onto the IR yesterday, and effectively ended his career as a Tennessee Titan. There is no doubt Jake worked as hard as he possibly could to become a good NFL quarterback, it just did not happen, due to a combination of inconsistency, and injury. I wanted Jake to succeed, especially due to his immense character and work ethic, but it was not meant to be. Honestly I don't know if it is possible he can succeed, even if he played to his potential because of his injury-proneness, but I wish him the best wherever he lands. He is truly one of the good guys in the NFL.
One of the lone bright spots this season has been Delanie Walker and his play. He now holds the best year for a TE in Oilers and Titans history.
Taylor Lewan receives a year of probation for fighting an Ohio State fan.
The Titans have quite the slate of road games next year, including a trip to New England, which if it happened this year, would probably result in a 60-0 drubbing.
Quote of the Day:
"Do not go gentle into that good night, Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
