The Titans had an eventful week day, sending starting center Brian Schwenke to IR and releasing veteran OLB Shaun Phillips, less than a full season into his deal that was signed over the summer.
The issues with the team at present speak for themselves, but recent developments have not been overly positive. While Ken Whisenhunt has been generally inflexible adapting his scheme to fit player strengths, the same can be said of Ray Horton and his 3-4 hybrid scheme. It's painfully obvious that the Titans lack the players on defense to stop the run and play fundamentally sound football. On offense, it has taken putting in a 6th round rookie at QB to ignite any kind of production, which is a sad reality.
What are your thoughts on the Titans current situation? Can they make the necessary changes between now and the opening games of 2015?
