This seems like a good place to point out how good Taylor Lewan has been. He entered the lineup under tough circumstances when Michael Roos, who had been a pillar of the Titans for a decade, went down with a season ending knee injury. He has stepped in and not missed a beat.
There was a lot of talk about the Lewan pick because he wasn't expected to play this year. Now that he is playing, Ruston Webster looks pretty smart for getting his next franchise left tackle in the draft. Lewan being so good sets up the Titans to not need to spend another high pick on an offensive lineman for a while. That is important because they need defense, and a lot of it, in future drafts.
This team is having a bad year, but this rookie class is showing up pretty well. Bishop Sankey looks to be improving each week. Avery Williamson has been a stud in the middle of the defense. Those guys are setting a nice foundation for the Titans as they attempt to rebuild.
So who do you think has been the Titans unsung hero?
