NFL Power Rankings 2014 Week 12: A New Bird On Top

Like I said last night, there are no moral victories in the NFL.  That doesn't mean, however, that a team shouldn't move up in the power rankings after a close lost.  I am not going to act like last night means the Titans are even a middle-tier team in the league, but they were impressive last night- even in a loss.

The most impressive win this week was the Cardinals over the Lions.  Detroit has been playing really well, and they had Arizona at home with a back-up quarterback.  Bruce Arians is an offensive guru, and not in the Ken Whisenhunt sense of the word guru, the actual sense of the word guru.

Zach Mettenberger was 15-of-24 for 263 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, but rookie QBs are now 2-18 against Dick LeBeau's Steeler defenses since 2004.

CBS Sports: 28

Zach Mettenberger is getting better. That's the good news. The defense was gashed by the Steelers.

FOX: 29

Zach Mettenberger showed some serious signs of improvement against the Steelers, but in the end it was the Titans defense that failed them again.
