It is not very often that I get to do links on the day of a game, but we have the honor of playing on Monday Night Football, so here that opportunity is. The Titans play the Steelers anoche and I hope we win. I cannot stand the Steelers, but they helped mold Ken Whisenhunt into what he is.
5 things to watch courtesy of Titans Online.
Avery Williamson has been a Godsend for the Titans this year. He has gone from virtually unheralded rookie (I know some of us on MCM definitely liked him going into the draft "Xanpham" was one), to starting ILB for us.
Here is Whiz's practice report from Saturday.
Sankey is now the #1 RB on the depth chart despite his footwork, and is also on the MNF Promo.
The Titans and Texans are showing interest in Hoyer after this year.I can't say I'd be thrilled, but he's a good stop gap.
PK says the Titans are focused on one QB and on QB only, Zach Mettenberger, and that is how it should be.
This weeks Twitter mailbag from PK talks about more snaps for DaQuan Jones, who the Titans like a lot, but is kind of being held back by the play of other Titans on the defensive line. I hope he gets more snaps because I think he can be a really good player, especially as a pass rusher.
Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico talk about how to stop the Pittsburgh offensive attack lead by Big Ben, with the plethora of weapons he has like LeVeon Bell (wanted to draft him so bad), Antonio Brown (maybe the best WR in football), Martavius Bryant (what Hunter dreams of being), and Markus Wheaton (poor man's Mike Wallace).
Munchak wearing a Steelers shirt is just wrong.
Tirico talks about the faceless Titans.
